Where It All Began
Cosimo Carnevale was born in Eboli, Italy in 1936. He came to America in 1960 with the work ethic and craftsmanship of a generation that built things to last. In 1980, he founded Carnevale Construction in New Jersey — starting as a kitchen installation company and growing it through reputation alone, one project and one satisfied client at a time.
Cosimo built the business on principles that never go out of style: show up, do the work right, treat people fairly. Those weren’t slogans — they were the way he operated every single day. The communities of Morris and Union County came to know his name and trust his work.
The Next Generation
Sal Carnevale grew up in the business. He learned the trade from his father — not just the technical side, but the principles that made the company worth inheriting. Twenty-five years ago, Sal took over Carnevale Construction and has led it ever since.
Under Sal’s leadership, the company has expanded across Morris, Union, and Essex County — taking on more complex projects, building deeper relationships with architects and real estate professionals, and maintaining the standard Cosimo set from day one. The name on the truck is the same. So is the commitment behind it.
Cosimo passed away in 2015. His legacy lives in every project Sal completes — in the craftsmanship, the integrity, and the pride in work well done that he passed on to his son.

Carnevale Construction is a family-owned, family-run business based in New Jersey. We specialize in kitchen remodeling, bathroom renovations, home additions, custom cabinetry, and full custom home building — primarily in Morris, Union, and Essex County.
Sal handles every project personally, from the first site visit to the final walkthrough. You deal with the owner, not a project manager. You get direct answers, clear estimates, and work that reflects 40+ years of family reputation on the line.
